Description
The IDF series of carburetors has been and continues to be the winning choice for a synchronous, 2 barrel, down draft carburetor. The IDF is ideal for use on most opposed-cylinder engines, or on V8 engines using independent runner designed intake manifolds. It offers relative low cost for large performance gains. With its central float chambers, full calibration capabilities, compact alloy body and wide variety of available sizes there is an IDF for most applications.
This is the 44 mm size which is ideal in pairs for use on VW engines from 2000cc up to 2500cc. It was also the original carburetor used on the Ford RS200 Escort with the X pack option.
The IDF features diaphragm type accelerator pump circuits and ball bearing throttle shafts. These carburetors have similar adjustability as the side draught DCOE series.
A wide range of manifolds are available to fit these carburetors many engines.
